Explore the western edge of the Kinder Scout Plateau on this fascinating walk through some of the history of the Peak District.
Past the 2,087 feet high summit of Kinder Scout lies Kinder Downfall. The River Kinder rises across the moorland on Kinder Scout before crashing down almost 100 feet to meet and join with the River Sett. This stunning waterfall is the tallest in the Peak District.
When strong westerly winds are prevalent, it causes the winds to blow back up the hillside and cause clouds of water spray which can be seen for miles around.
